Japanese Version of “Kasih Ibu” Song as An Introduction to Japanese as Beginners at Elementary School

Abstract

This community service activity bears the theme: 'Japanese Version of “Kasih Ibu” Song as an Introduction to Japanese for Beginners at Elementary School''. This service activity aims to introduce one of the most studied foreign languages in Indonesia, namely Japanese language, from an early age through the Japanese version of Indonesian children's songs. This activity was joined by elementary school students. This service activity was carried out at SDN 02, Candirejo, Ungaran, Semarang Regency. The method used in this activity the Training of Trainer (TOT) method implemented by providing materials through lectures, providing song lyrics material, playing videos through entossjp channel, introducing basic Japanese language material at the elementary school level, and introducing character education. The implementation team in this service provided Japanese language introduction material through the lyrics of an Indonesian children's song entitled “Kasih Ibu” which was translated in Japanese, then continued with hands-on practice by students to understand Japanese through the lyrics of the song, continued with basic Japanese language material for Elementary School level and the introduction of character education through powerpoint media.
