Psychological Conflict Toward The Main Character’s in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) Film

Abstract

The study analyzes a film titled Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022) released by DreamWorks. The analysis of this study focuses on character, characterization and psychological conflict of Puss as the main character. With regard to the title of the study, the writer will answer two questions: How to analysis character & characterization "puss" and how the psychological conflicts that happen in character Puss. This analysis tries to demonstrate change the characterization and the psychological conflict experienced by puss. which help the writer screen-shooting scenes and noting the script from each scene with a note book about character, characterization and the psychological conflicts. We're given a picture of the psychological changes of playing characters in each story. Puss was originally portrayed as arrogant and selfish to become a humble character and appreciate the people around him. The study uses qualitative methods descriptive theory to found out the data. Data collection technique that used in this study. And data analysis techniques use observing, collecting, identifying and analyzing. The methods use analysed character, characterization and used are Kurt Lewin's conflict. This theory is applied as a guideline, so the study focuses on changed character, characterization and psychological conflict of the main character. Based on Analyzed by Lewin's theory, Puss experience all kind of internal conflicts, that are Aproach-aproach and aproach-avoidance and avoidance-avoidance. Three types of psychological conflict.
