Prenatal Yoga sebagai Upaya Mengurangi Ketidaknyamanan Nyeri Punggung Selama Kehamilan

Abstract

Pregnancy yoga is a yoga practice designed specifically for pregnant women, with an emphasis on gentle movements, controlled breathing and relaxation. The benefits and importance of prenatal yoga in supporting maternal health and fetal life during pregnancy include improving emotional well-being, increasing body strength and flexibility, improving breathing and blood circulation, preparing mentally and physically for childbirth, community and support for pregnant women. The yoga community service for pregnant women aims to provide education regarding exercise that pregnant women can do to improve their health during pregnancy until delivery. This activity was carried out on June 5 2024 at the Kemambang Village Hall. This community service activity was attended by pregnant women who attended classes for pregnant women at the Kemambang Village Hall in the working area of the UPT Banyubiru Health Center, Semarang Regency. Community Service begins with an anamnesis and physical and obstetric examination before starting yoga, then continues with pregnant women's yoga activities which include warm-up movements, core movements and relaxation movements. Community service went smoothly until the end of the activity, seen from the enthusiasm of pregnant women during the activity and all participants were able to understand the yoga movements of pregnant women and were willing to do it independently at home. The conclusion of this community service activity is that yoga for pregnant women provides many benefits for pregnant women. Advice for midwives is that they always provide education that is interesting and appropriate to the needs of pregnant women so that pregnant women are enthusiastic about attending classes for pregnant women.

Abstrak

Yoga ibu hamil merupakan praktik yoga yang dirancang khusus untuk ibu hamil, dengan penekanan pada gerakan yang lembut, pernapasan yang terkontrol, dan relaksasi. Manfaat dan pentingnya yoga prenatal dalam mendukung kesehatan ibu dan kehidupan janin selama kehamilan antara lain meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional, meningkatkan keukatan dan fleksibilitas tubuh, meningkatkan pernafasan dan sirkulasi darah, mempersiapkan mental dan fisik untuk persalinan, komunitas dan dukungan untuk ibu hamil. Pengabdian masyarakat yoga ibu hamil bertujuan memberikan edukasi terkait olah raga yang bisa dilakukan ibu hamil agar meningkatkan kesehatan selama kehamilan hingga persalinan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 05 Juni 2024 yang bertempat di Balai Desa Kemambang. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini dihadiri oleh ibu hamil yang mengikuti kelas ibu hamil di Balai Desa Kemambang wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Banyubiru Kabupaten Semarang. Pengabdian Masyarakat dimulai dengan anamnesa dan pemeriksaan fisik dan obstetric terlebih dahulu sebelum dimulai yoga, kemudian dilanjutkna kegiatan yoga ibu hamil yang meliputi gerakan pemanasan, gerakan inti, dan gerakan relaksasi. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berlangsung lancer hingga akhir kegiatan dilihat dari antusias ibu hamil selama kegiatan dan seluruh peserta dapat memahami gerakan yoga ibu hamil dan bersedia melakukan secara mandiri di rumah. Simpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah yoga ibu hamil memberikan banyak manfaat untuk ibu hamil. Saran untuk bidan diharapkan selalu memberikan edukasi yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan ibu hamil sehingga ibu hamil antusias dalam mengikuti kelas ibu hamil.
